Carr playing well but the Bears not dominating thru the first 9 minutes or so

Lots of one on one so far

Another crap half of shooting… currently 35%. We're going to be laughed off the floor vs Louisville and Duke if we keep playing 1st halfs this way.

We're cooked in the acc. Rytis is key but are these guys just that bad? Or is it Madsen?

Dorsey having one of his better halfs of the season.

You give those guys an open three and all too often they make it. Down by three. 15:10 left. This would be a really bad loss.

Not having Pippen certainly doesn't help but Cal has much better players

I feel the Bears will win this game but they aren't making it easy to say the least

Lol. I suck typing on cell. Watching kiddos improve comedy performance as well...what i was trying to say is we can seem to get p4 talent for our top 3 or 4 guys but after that the roster would have a hard time winning starting slot at nwsu.

Feels like we don't trust each other on offense (probably because the backups are getting major minutes), so there's too much hero ball and 1-on-1 going on.

I respectfully disagree as far as the 2025-26 roster goes

I am quite happy with Ames, Camden, Pippen, Dort, Bell, Petraitis (that's 6) and Carr

Dorsey and Ilic gives some depth off the bench

(Didn't even mention Campbell)

I think the toughest part is that they haven't played together very long. So far, they have been playing fairly well as a team. This preseason has been good so far to get the Bears to gel together as a team

Good passing by many of the players today

Dort swishing freethrows in crunch time. Love it! Great all-around game for him. TT showed he belongs as well.

It seems to me like some people play better against top teams and others play better against lesser teams. I'm not a psychologist so I don't understand why.

Columbia is going to be tough for this lineup

I was down on Dort earlier this season because of all his God-given handicaps (quick to 5 fouls, hands of stone, etc.), but he's really shown me something in this 1st half of the season. I'm still not in agreement with those here who think he's a top 50 caliber center, but he has definitely upped his game and with any luck he will keep us afloat in the paint against some tough ACC opponents. I'm waiting for "Dort Authority!" to make it onto a poster but so far no luck there.

What's wrong with Bell? He looks off.

I'll say… he goes from 22 points against UCLA and follows with 7, 11, 11 and a measly 2 today on 1-6 shooting (0-4 from 3). I wonder if there's a nagging injury, or it could just be psychological.
Madsen is very cagey about injury reports, he said in the post game that Rytis is "short… to medium term", whatever that means.
