He started off with "Cal Basketball is about to be Nationally Ranked"

So lost his credibility, right off the bat. LOL

This team is doing some great things. And even got some votes (from voters not paying attention to the team and just looking at the w/l record against an abysmal SOS.

Can they do it? YES!! But they have a lot of work to do and also need some luck and depth pieces to break out.

Is Ames going to enter the draft?

He's probably a little undersized as a SG for the NBA (though there's not too much difference in SG and PG in today's NBA), even though he's got the offensive toolset to be an effective scorer (especially off the bench) at that level. If he does make it, he may want to emulate Lou Williams, who was also a smaller scorer with limited defense. However, if Dai Dai works on his defense, he could probably see even more value as a combination of a Marcus Smart defender, especially if he could keep up his scoring threat.

Whether Dai Dai can improve his defense this year to entice teams to take a chance on him in the draft is going to depend a lot on how he does in the ACC. So far, his defense hasn't been too impressive (then again, his backcourt mate has been a defensive monster, so he's playing a bit in Pippen's shadow defensively) as it's been primarily against lower level competition. I want to see him anticipating where the offensive players will go and beat them to their spots and I also want to see him learn to get up inside the opposing player's comfort zone without fouling. If he can do that, he will probably get drafted.

With all due respect to Dai Dai, I don't think he has a chance of getting drafted, this year or next,

At the next level, he's undersized and would be considered unathletic (even on this team, Pippen has much better size and TT has more bounce & lateral quickness).

But he's a prime candidate to bolt for another team to secure a bigger NIL deal.
