That's exactly what I received. Presumably, we'll receive an email tomorrow with the purchase instructions.
The way it shows under Manage Tickets makes me think that I'll get my seats for free. I could be wrong, but that is the same wording I received on some free basketball tickets I got for being a season football ticket holder. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Looks like it's possible for Mark Madsen's new team to play against his previous team in the Regional Finals.

Why would Stanford decline the NIT to play in the Crown instead? To play against more higher tiered teams, or have to play fewer teams or avoid a possible third loss to Cal in the NIT? Or for the NIL money awarded? It couldn't be due to being able to play in Las Vegas or it being televised on Fox Sports?

The B1G, B12 and Big East are contractually obligated to send 2 teams each to the Crown, so the only power conferences supporting the NIT are the SEC and ACC. The NIT also can involve a lot of travel, whereas the Crown is just in Vegas. Plus the Crown offers a big pot of NIL money as a prize for the players, so many would vote for that (besides the Vegas trip). Many think the Crown will replace the NIT.
I will be at this game, 100%, and hope to see lots of you, as well.

We don't even get free student tickets I mean seriously come on Cal. It is against UIC where the hell are the student tickets. I am not expecting a good show out at all. I might not even go at this point due to the lack of student tickets.
Cost of tickets is $26-38. Assuming chairbacks will be $38.no one in my group is going so hopefully tbey will ket me buy 1 seat of my season tickets.the web site demands i buy all three of my season seats so guess I will have to call to just buy one

Our regular season seats are on the plastic bleachers, but we were able to buy some awesome chairbacks for Wednesday's game, I guess ones that do not belong to any season ticket holder.
For the women's WBIT game on Thursday, I think I will also be looking to buy better seats than my GA season tickets, but I suspect I will have to wait until they release ones that season ticket holders did not claim tomorrow.
You need to call ato if you want to buy only some of your season tickets. I-called and they sold me the one seat I wanted . On line its all,or none. Ridiculous and time consuming
As a chairback season ticket holder, I still haven't received any notification from the athletic department about purchasing my seats for Wednesday's NIT game at Haas. What a ****ed up operation the Cal AD is. The whole damn bunch needs to be fired so we can start over. It's really embarrassing and disgusting how incompetent they are.
Most of the staff are students and it changes very frequently so there is no continuity.

That's true, but that's not an excuse for the gross incompetence of the department. It's just a total lack of competent leadership that fails to set standards and hold employees to them. And then they wonder why attendance at games is so poor. I'll be surprised if more than 1,500 show up on Wednesday.

Yes, Stanford is in the Crown, Fox's tournament in Vegas for eight "power conference" teams.

I sit courtside and make regular decent 5 figure donations. Nobody emailed me either to allow me to obtain my tickets conveniently. I had to go to the ticket office's site to procure my seats and parking pass for $329. Our athletic department, as run by the incompetent J&J duo, simply is a clown show. This incompetence is costing us fans in the seats and meaningful $s in revenue. Oh, we need to remove J&J from anything to do with our MBB program and hire a MBB GM ASAP before the lack of leadership in our athletic department kills us. Thank God FB is free of that morass.
Never got an email mi guess the internscrecently hired could not figure out howvto do it. The ticket manager should be fired.

It takes 10min on Mailchimp or similar software to put together a mass mailing.
The AD could hire a marketing grad fresh out of college who would do a better job for 1/10th their salary.
I went to the Cal ticket website Monday, checked out my cheap season tickets, but held off buying. This evening I got an email saying that if I didn't buy them by today my seats would be released to the general public. By that time I had already bought a couple of better seats, chairbacks on the aisle in Section 2. There were not many such good seats available. But I'm sure that if they do release unclaimed season ticket holder seats to the general public tomorrow, tons of great seats will be available. Because the marketing has been so godawful, I think hardly anybody is claiming their seats. And probably I could have bought my cheap seats and moved anywhere I want.
Hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid it's going to be an empty house.

I expect that you are right. 8 pm tip? That's not a time chosen for in person fans. I would still be driving home at 11:30. I can't find anybody who would sign up for that. I will watch it on TV and hope that there is a 2nd round game at a decent time. Only email I got, btw, was the 'claim them or lose them' a couple hours before the deadline. Zero marketing, even to the more dedicated base. We could do much better.
Well it's probably the last time you can watch cal basketball this season (unless you plan to travel) so maybe reconsider?

So you are assuming we lose? Because if we win tbere will be another game at Haas likely Sunday early afternoon.. We are higher seeded thanColorado State. If New Mexico loses there would be a third game at Haas.

Well the good seats are plentiful and available now. A ridiculous number of chairbacks opened up this morning, including first row behind the Cal bench. All for $38.
