My player of the game tonight. Everything worked so much better with him on the court. His stats were solid but not remarkable except for a team-leading +/- of +31.

Dude! His steal and dunk in the second half was a total (but welcome!) surprise! I didn't know he had that in him! He showed decent handles and was able to prevent the Flames player from denying him at the rim. That was a great play by Milos!

Of course Bell was player of the game, but our bench had very good games, Milos, Campbell (besides his two threes, he had 3 steals and played good defense) and Carr with 7 assists

Milos played well for Milos. Player of the game? c'mon, we had a guy who was 8 for 10 from three point land.

Everyone in the rotation is a good player. This isn't like some of those Fox teams where I wondered if our guys could even be significant contributors on a mid major. The margins just get slimmer and slimmer when you go from ok P4 team to tournament level team.

Yes…Milos outplayed Dort by a LOT last night. I just wish we could get him the ball on those pick and rolls…TT had a great passing game last night (7 or 8 assists) but everyone else just kept the ball and tried to get a shot off…and that, was a nice drive and score after making the steal at the top of the key,…held off the defender well all the way down court…

You watched a different game than I did. Carr did have a nice passing game. But Cal had 21 assists as a team. Pippen had 6. Many times the open 3's that were made came off making the extra pass. And Cal had more than a couple of TOs trying to make a pass.

Best game sharing the ball IMO in a few games.

I just remember the people early in the season who were wondering why we gave Ilic a scholarship. Yes, he's not elegant on the court. But he plays within himself, and the things he knows how to do, he does well. I suspect he'll have a decent professional career back in Europe. We needed him last night, and he produced.

It was odd that Dort wasn't posting up and having his way down low with an undersized team. He seemed rushed and not under control all night.

Of course Bell had a fabulous game. And Pippen had a fabulous 2nd half. And Ames and Camden played well. And Carr and Campbell played enough good minutes to keep everyone fresh enough to blow out the Flames at the end.

However when Ilic was in our offense worked and we got good shots. When he was out UIC's offense worked and they got good shoots. When Ilic was on the court we were +31, when he was on the bench we were -13. That's a staggering difference.

I'd love to hear Rod's opinion.
