I've gotten a couple of emails about renewing. In early March? What, I should act now because they might sell out?

Act now because they need the money.

funny story (dunno anymore whether real or imagined or from the movies) a drill instructor takes newbies
out for exercises, takes a break and allows "smoke 'em if you've got em".
which turns out is a trick, because IF you've got 'em, and found out, consequences will follow

I go that call too. I said I may not order a new ticket. /they still won't address my complaints of coming to the game. and An. Harbor has convnced me to give up college sports. If I don't renew, I won't attend and i won't ***h it on TV.

The email I received on Thursday says that season ticket renewals will begin on Wednesday, April 22.

Sounds like the folks at Gold Standard are getting a head start with their phone calls.

As they should. The team is in people's minds now, so it's a good time to reach out to people who currently have season tickets or went to games.

In 2 months college basketball will be out of people's thoughts

I am disappointed and losing interest in the chaos. But fortunately I am not alone. College commissioners and notable coaches, including Saban and Urban Meyer, have just met with Trump about the problem. Trump says he will soon issue a sweeping executive order to reduce the chaos. Looking forward to seeing what's in it. Probably won't be legal, but we can dream.

I also do look at the incessant noise at our games as a successful de-marketing plan. I would fire whoever is responsible for that.

The San Jose Mercury News just had an article stating that Cal's problem is not a spending problem but a revenue problem. Mentions that UNC and Ucla spend more but have bigger revenues.

You might consider waiting until we know whether Jay & Jenny will be returning.
