West Virginia has done great these past three years in the Big 12 under Mark Kellogg. 25-26 wins each season and three straight trips to the NCAA's. I like how since West Virginia has no pro sports teams, the entire state gets behind WVU.

Kellogg also uses a rotation of 9 players putting in double digit minutes during the season. and then drops it way down for big games. That keeps people fresh throughout the year.. Interesting concept.

Just noticed that by beating TCU, WVU will also now likely get to host first and second round NCAA games in its home arena in Morgantown. Now that is what you call success.

So a school like West Virginia (which I respect having worked there on a special health planning project for two years) can finish in the top 16 in the country, and yet we have people here saying we can't possibly do any better than the WBIT and can't even improve our turnovers? Is this how far we have now sunk?

I have two Cal degrees myself, but it doesn't make me want to defend our current performance.
