"The Georgia congresswoman whom Democrats spent years portraying as the wild-eyed manifestation of the MAGA fringe is suddenly singing a new tune. Greene has broken with her party and Trump on a number of high-profile occasions this year, calling the situation in Gaza a "genocide" and criticizing Trump's bombing of Iran. In perhaps her most high-profile move, she was one of a few Republicans to sign the House discharge petition forcing a vote to release all the Epstein files. That, especially, is not going over well with the White House.

As if the trend-piece sirens weren't already blaring in newsrooms, Greene made another splash this week when she defended extending expiring Obamacare subsidies, the very issue over which Democrats are waging this shutdown. "When the tax credits expire this year my own adult children's insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE," she wrote in a long post, "along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district." She noted that "it is absolutely shameful, disgusting, and traitorous, that our laws and policies screw the American people so much that the government is shut down right now fighting over basic issues like this," and warned that Republicans had no plan to combat spiking health insurance premiums.Even after Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries made Greene the centerpiece of their talking points, Greene kept going. In a surreal episode, she went on CNN, in person, to trash her party to Wolf Blitzer. "You're a courageous politician, but more important, a loving mother," Blitzer told her. We did not see any of this coming."

Are MTG and her constituents the tip of the MAGA revolt spear? Are they the first since the Trump University enrollees to come out of their daze and figure out they've been had all along?

As Trump is want to say, "everybody knows" that Trump is a fraud, his allies are just too deathly afraid to call him on it.

Have any of the main Democrat officials called out Trump on the genocide??

So if MTG is now your scumbag, aren't your people also scumbags?

The real frauds that have been exposed here are people like AOC and Bernie who refused to acknowledge the genocide while 2/3 of Democrats did, and a lot more than that in their districts.

You're trashing a politician whose positions, that go against those of her own party, and with which you probably don't disagree with, just because she's not from your tribe, while calling for unity??

She was referring to Johnson telling reporters yesterday that he would prefer to "talk about something serious" than address the protective order issued against Mills for allegedly threatening to release sexually explicit photos and videos of his ex-girlfriend.

Driving the news: Johnson "was Speaker and oversaw George Santos being expelled. Why isn't he doing anything about Cory Mills?" Greene told us.

"This is a serious matter, and it needs to be taken seriously."
Mills has previously denied the allegations.

The other side: Johnson didn't vote in favor of expelling former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) from Congress and warned about the precedent it would set to expel a member before they're convicted of a crime."

She's said her party has "no plan" when it comes to health care.

She was one of four Republicans to sign a discharge petition to release the Epstein files, against Trump's wishes.

In an interview with Axios last month, she slammed Trump's second-term agenda as "America Last."

Greene fired back on X: "It's astonishing really how hard he's fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level."

This is going to destroy Trump, he's not going to pull this off. He's also been incredibly crass and dishonorable towards Massie with that comment about his wife, coming from a guy who has pretty poor family values to say the least.

After the 2024 election there was a lot of talk about young Americans shifting to the right.

Trump's approval is sinking among many groups who have supported him. The question is whether the Democrats can take advantage of that and field candidates other than Bateman or Cuomo types, not a given.
