Sometimes I'm scrolling Twitter and a picture of UC Berkeley will show up about a generic college story.

In the case of this story, the words "Berkeley" and "California" are completely absent.

The word "Stanford" appears twice.

If you needed a classic college photo, would you go to Cal or Stanford? Many of you have been on Stanfurd's campus. The best that can be said is that they have a lot of space.

The biggest insult since The Graduate passed off U$C as the Cal campus?

At least they got this scene right:

For other Cal/Berkeley shots in movie:

Finding Elaine: UC Berkeley in "The Graduate" (1967) Pop Culture Pundit https://popculturepundit.wordpress.com/2016/02/28/finding-elaine-uc-berkeley-in-the-graduate-1967/

Another movie with a Berkeley scene:

Cody's Books in Who'll Stop the Rain (1978)

“Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection
Send my credentials to the House of Detention
I got some friends inside”
—Jim Morrison

“I love Cal deeply, by the way, what are the directions to The Portal from Sproul Plaza?”

True, that! But I gotta say that one of my favorite parts of attending Cal football games is finding a parking spot on Northside, maybe around Scenic or Arch and Vine and walking to/from the game. Looking at the homes, the yards, etc. is just part of the event for me. Of course, if I hadn't grown up in North Berkeley, I'd be *****ing about the hills, the irregular sidewalks, etc.

When my Dad and I were season ticket holders during the Tedford era we would park back up behind the Claremont. A bit of a hike. But I totally get what you are saying about check out all of the beautiful homes, gardens, etc. on the way to the Stadium.

Stanford can't touch that experience.

When I was a student at UC Berkeley, I would spend time looking at old Daily Cals in the library. I remember seeing an article about how UC Berkeley rejected The Graduate filming.

The only shot on campus appears to be "stolen" (unauthorized) on Sproul Plaza.

Dustin Hoffman will turn 90 next year.

The actor who played his father in The Graduate is still alive.

> Daniels made his film debut in 1963, at the age of 36. He debuted in the Cold War-themed thriller "Ladybug Ladybug" (1963), where he played school principal Mr. Calkins. His next film role was the comedy-drama film "A Thousand Clowns" (1965), where he played child welfare worker Albert Amundson. Daniels had a supporting role in "The Graduate" (1967), playing the father of protagonist Benjamin Braddock (played by Dustin Hoffman).

I used to park there as well. Would drive down in the morning to get a really close spot and then hike back up the hill to my house. Get a ride down for the game. Naturally the City of Berkeley now limits parking there on game days.

He hit a homer with his character in Two for the Road (1967).

One of Jacqueline Bisset's early roles:

and much much more, imo most usefully sorted by the number of ratings at imdb..

humble confession: so far i've spent hundreds> thousands of flick hours, with a few memories, most often from media checked out of our local free public library.

I don't know the area well, but I'm confident I could find a fair few acceptable lots in Woodside or Portola Valley.

Surfing google maps, I found some impressive structures much closer to the stadium on Mayfield Ave, and so did a google search and found a book which I imagine would beg to differ with you.

William Daniels was just 8 years older.
His wife since 1951 is also still alive (she was the mom in Twins).

He was Kit the car in Knight Rider, and John Adams in 1776.
But what's this I saw about an open marriage and Marilyn Monroe?

10 years older.

William Daniels turns 100 in March 2027

Dustin Hoffman turns 90 in August 2027.
