(Yes, I know the Giants played on Tuesday. Netflix has a lot to learn about doing baseball games, by the way.)

We have common ground, though I do pay some attention to how the Giants are doing. I can't make myself pull the trigger on the Seattle Mariners even though they are the geographically closest team to me.BearlySane88 said:

Yeah, Oakland deserves better than what has happened to its three sports teams.
EDIT:
I didn't mean to use the smug post icon.

The Giants lost 3-0. Their four hits through the first two games are the fewest in franchise history. This is the first time they've been shut out in the first two games of a season.

Since you're a lawyer and a Koufax fan, I guess I'll drop the time I got deposed and had to testify about Sandy Koufax.
It was 1965 and a bunch of us kids from our block went to see the Dodgers vs the Giants at Candlestick. The Giants won, beating Drysdale. After the game, we dawdled a bit then were leaving to catch the bus. An unmarked door opened and Sandy Koufax, nicely dressed in a sports coat and slacks, hustled into a waiting golf cart, telling the driver, "Take me to the bus."
The driver floored it straight at us. Half of us were going "That's Sandy Koufax!" and were slow to react. We dodged out of the way on time except for a teenage girl who got clipped by the golf cart and knocked down. She got up and said she was OK and we proceeded home.
Fast forward 3 or 4 years and my older sister and I were contacted by a lawyer representing the girl, who had moved to Stockton a few years earlier. Apparently she had developed hip problems and was suing San Francisco and the Giants. After the deposition, we never heard anything more. I don't know if she sued or not but it always seemed sketchy and unprovable to me.
Sandy Koufax wasn't at fault for anything. I think he just wanted to get to the bus and avoid any unpleasantries with Giants fans. If I ever met Koufax, I was going to ask him about that, but I'd be shocked if he remembered it.

One series into the season is prime time when it comes to fans overreacting. It makes for some amusing posts, though.

I was a Giants fan as a boy (although Koufax was my favorite player). I became an A's fan when they moved into town. They won the WS 3 years in a row when I was at Cal. I quit following the A's a few years back because I got tired of having to memorize a new roster each season because John Fisher is too f'ing cheap to keep the talent. A pox on his house.
The only baseball game I will watch these days is if Ohtani is playing in it.
*He lives in the same town as my sister. He is known to be polite, humble and will pose for endless selfies. How refreshing.
*F all SF sports teams!
