after winning his 1st major the pga championship a reporter asked him if his multiple rounds during his 4 years as a berkeley bear contributed to winning a
MAJOR to which morikawa remarkably responded that he didn't think so because harding park wuz set up "differently" for the tournament

this comment shows a complete lack of golf architecture knowledge/comprehension that learning course management strategies (which are accentuated at the cathedrals of golf with their infinite playing options) can only be learned/deciphered by repeated rounds on a course (and not just beating balls at the summit club with trackman)
at last year's us open at oakmont (which collin had never played before) morikawa wuz basically guessing on the reads (made just 1 putt over 11 feet during 72 holes) & took a starting line not far enough left on the uphill par 4 9th hole which resulted in all 4 round tee balls in the far right punishing rough (and a couple of lost strokes)
this year at shinnecock (which collin had never played before) on the course's most quirky hole the par 4 10th hole with its diabolical volcano green morikawa has missed the green twice (once short, once long) from the fairway with 60 yard blind 2nd pitch shots, this could've been practiced/worked out on advance visit practice round(s)...today to the deep right pin position on the par 4 14th hole which got a backboard to the right of the green that funnels 2nd shots close to the hole our cali bear didn't take advantage of the helping left to right wind to play his 2nd shot far enuf right to take advantage of this design feature & bogied the hole
the great jack nicklaus (who has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for various charities including hospitals & disabled war veterans, **** the grifters who are gonna fafo), tiger woods & these days both rory mcilroy & scottie scheffler prioritize
advance visits to the major sites over all nite gaming sessions with kurt kitayama, do u feel me??
the good news is that morikawa played the 2026 british open royal birkdale already with his agent, would not be surprised if collin don't win a 2nd open with the relatively flat greens (most 15-20 foot putts are a left or right edge read)
so where are the 4 majors gonna be played in 2027??
*****masters: augusta national-collin got 50+ rounds & knows the risk/reward strategies and complex putting surfaces
*****us open: pebble beach-collin won at pebble beach this year & got boxes of their pencils!!
*****british open: st andrews-collin has already competed in an open at the home of golf, the flatest greens of the open rotation courses
*****pga championship: pga frisco (will be a
HOME game for michael kim)-collin needs to private jet his sorry broken down azz to texas with kurt for a couple of rounds this fall/next spring prior to the tournament plus they got a buc-ee's kinda nearby in terrell & royse city!!

#1 ranked college golfer, z gotta analyze/figure out why he played the 6 par 5s in the tourny with zero birdies which is to be avoided like the 30 day old deep fried barracuda at sexy fish in brickell (rite finley??)
fun fact: z is already qualified for the 2026 us amateur this august at merion!!
trevor cox shot a
72 in finishing tied for 46th in this prestigious national tournament, congrats t-rex man but like every cute/adorable currently undersized bear (other than z) needs to count his daily protein grams/relentlessly work out with speed training & gain muscle/mass/weight!!...unlike being a jockey at the kentucky derby, tiny does not work in
ELITE competitive golf (or cal's monster offensive line), rite now coach wilson's roster promises to be once again the
weakest in terms of strength team in d1 next season other than the caldecott tunnel high school girl's junior varsity cross country team!!
