A lot of people seem to be confused about how the quad wins work and rightfully so. Here's a good visual explanation.

Some of those quad rankings of opponents can change, NO?

Does the NET consider quad ranking at time of game or at end of year?

Me thinks it is at end of year. So a quad 1 win early (like Kstate) can morph into a quad 2 ranking for NET purposes?

It is measured by end of year, yes.

What's really weird about this system is that if team A plays team B, and before the game team B is in the very last spot in their "quad", if team A wins the game their win is slightly "devalued" because it drops team B into a lower quad due to their loss. Crazy.

Thank you for posting this. I was just looking it up yesterday as I had no idea how it was calculated.
