I thought they only did it for Cal's made free throws but noticed that it was played for UIC during Wednesday night's game, and again tonight for St. Joseph's.

I think it was only for these last two NIT games, because they were technically tournament neutral site games and not home games. The hype men also didn't lead a "Give me a C" chant either and instead just would yell something to the effect of "let's make some noise for playoff basketball!!" ... probably part of the deal of hosting an NIT site game.

Also no microphone for micmen, no special lighting and pyro for starting lineup. All part of the neutral site. And since we haven't had postseason bball in a while no real memory for how to do crowd hype in a that setup.
