Notre Dame up to #25. Cal now has a Quad 1 win!

We need them to keep winning.
They end the regular season with home games against Syracuse and Louisville.

Stanford is now at #44...dropping to #46 would change a Quad 1 loss to them to a Quad 2 loss...not sure what that means...And Missouri has dropped to Quad 2 #78...dropping to #81 would mean Cal's loss to them becomes a Quad 3 loss...not good. Making Quad 2 wins against Clemson (#40) and Miami (#56, one slot behind Cal's current #55) all the more important. Florida St is #106 (Quad 3) and SMU #197 (Quad 4).

Wow, a lot of info there. But since we split our two games with furd doesn't that factor wash itself out?

Because teams get better over the year and injuries they should split Quad wins/losses judged by NET at end of first half and second half instead of every thing based on season ending NETs

Cal's home win against Stanford is considered a Quad 2 win. For it to be considered a Quad 1 home win, Stanford would have to have a rating of 25 or higher.

Oh man am I messed up. I just took down my original response because I mistakenly thought I was on the Men's Board. So it goes back to my original point. Doesn't Stanford's rating wash out because we lost to them at Maples?

I wish I had a NET computer to figure out what happens if we win our last four games and then two in the ACC tournament. Would that be enough?

Not sure what you mean by "wash out"...

I'm sorry. When you mentioned "quad one win" I got mixed up only because we lost to them as well. But I guess even a quad one loss is better than a quad two loss as well. This NET stuff is wearing me out! Hope we can win out moving forward. Go Bears!

Maybe the ugly red will wash out of their uniforms and they'll show up in perpetual pink.

And poof! The Quad 1 is gone as Notre Dame drops overnight from 25 to 28 (without playing). Cal is now 0-8 in Quad 1 and 3-2 in Quad 2. Missouri also dropped from 78 to 79...if they go to 81, that Quad 2 loss becomes a Quad 3 loss.

Perhaps I should go back to worrying about things within my control...

A reminder (because I always forget and have to look it up)

The 2025-26 NET rank quadrant ranges for WBB are
quadrant one (home 1-25, neutral 1-35 and away 1-45);
quadrant two (home 26-55, neutral 36-65 and away 46-80);
quadrant three (home 56-90, neutral 66-105 and away 81-130)
quadrant four (home 91-plus, neutral 106-plus and away 131-plus).

MBB quadrants are different.
