Oh, okay. I'll check out Bobby G's in downtown Berkeley and see if they could spare a screen for ESPN+. Also Cali on Telegraph (the former Larry Blake's, Pappy's, etc.).
Wouldn't it be nice if Cal Athletics marketing people could set up a viewing party at one of the above, or Headlands on Bancroft, or something?

Especially since the men play at 6 at Haas. A spot close to Haas would really come in handy

Good news: Mjracle is practicing with the team (pics on Instagram).
Kansas State finished with a NET of 55 to Cal's 52. However, 4 Quad 1 wins, 3 Quad 2 wins, and 3 Quad 3 wins. Interestingly, they had a losing home record before the WBIT game, 7-8

I will be going to the men's game. I might watch the women in the first half at Cali and second half at Headlands.

Cal's defense is non-existent. They are getting backdoored and beaten to the basket on screen 'n rolls. Speiser has just nailed two treys in a row. Garcia has seven assists in the 1st quarter.

Bears playing well. Defense is not great and definitely a little home cooking, but we are in this.
Maul has come alive with defense and three baskets for seven points. Cal is playing lights out on offense and defensively weak without much effort. Garcia drives right by Puff for an easy layup. HC Charmin Smith stated that they need to pick it up on defense to hold onto the lead.

Last play of the half. The team has a foul to give, the player starts a drive 35 feet out and we don't use it. I don't understand.
Attendance at Cali kind of light, but Bears are ahead at half. If only they have Pliny the Younger, but I'll have to go back to Santa Rosa for that.

Cal will have to outscore K State to win. The Bears are not fast enough to stay with opponent. Puff repeatedly blown by Garcia and Lulu also beaten for easy layup by Tess Heal. Barnes must hit those layups inside .
why are the 4 coaches unable to effectively address the problem with defense and easy layups?

Following play by play. What a great score at the end of the 3rd quarter...and only two turnovers in the 3rd! Cal winning the rebounding also, 24-17, and 19 assists on 26 baskets. Now, as Coach likes to remind...play hard all 40 minutes!
My favorite stat is Puff having 7 assists in 13 minutes while taking only one shot. If she can figure out that she is more of a playmaker than a shooter, that will help.

K State outscores Cal 20-4 down stretch. Six TOs over last 4 1/2m, and overall, the turnovers have jumped from 7 to 20. Thank goodness that time has run out. Columbia has been on fire offensively with two blowout victories. I would suggest Cal studies their game films of WBIT.
Live Stats shows that Kansas State made 21-34 layups. Those stats always add every close in shot. Cal only had 20 layup attempts (18 by Sakima Walker). The Willdcat's guards continuously drove around or blew by the Bear backcourt like they were standing still. Puff Morris really needs to work on her footspeed for next season.
