I haven't been following the softball playoffs, since Cal was not involved. All of a sudden on my ESPN app out popped SMC eliminated Oregon! Wow!! SMC still not out of the woods, as they will have to beat Mississippi St twice to advance to the super regionals. How the heck did they get so good? For the last 3 years they have been doing much better. I think lots have to do with their pitchers. If you have good pitchers it can carry a team a long way. Their pitchers have a combined 278 KOs. I can't believe our team barely had over 100 K's. How can that be? That's a lot of pressure for our team if we can't get the easy out. What do people think about our pitching coach Chelsea Rex-Singleton? She has to do better!

Also watched Cal Baptist blow a 10-5 (I think?) lead over UCLA. UCLA was down 11-9 in the 7th.

De Nava got the start. Was fun seeing Haylie Archer and Brandon Telesco teamed up together… although I hate De Nava went with him to CBU

The ACC is having a tough time so far.

Georgia Tech, Louisville and Clemson have already been eliminated. Virginia Tech, Florida State and UVA are hanging on. Duke and Stanford have some work to do today.

Still undecided on the pitching coach. But sometimes a coach can only do so much...

Will having a newborn affect her status next season?

Looks like from the ACC Duke is the only one to advance! Go Blue Devils!

Always been a huge fan of Bell. Wish she stayed home but I'm proud that she has been as big of a menace as she has been to so many teams. Love seeing her making a deep playoff run, even if it isn't with us.

T Bell has hr & 4 rbi in Arkansas win vs Duke. Roelling loss to Tennessee but pitched the entire game losing 2-1. Living vicariously thru our former Bears.

Is Nijaree Canady hurt? In an elimination game she didnt start but after b1 she was brought in because starter gave up 4 runs in the first which has been delayed now by weather. First game on fri..she came in relief though TTU won she gave up 3 runs. Thank goodness they had a big lead. Yesterday she started
But got hammered and was out in 3.2 innings giving up 5 runs and loss 10-2. Canady is the 1 million dollar bonus baby seems to be struggling so far.

Elimination game TTU vs Fucla tomorrow. Pick your poison who do you want to advance? My choice hoping fucla lose tmrrw and TTU the following day. Cant stand both.

What an insane game.

TTU beats ucla 8-7 in xtr innings. TTU will have to be Alabama twice tmrrw. Lets go Roll tides!

I can't believe i'll be rooting for Alabama but here we are.
