Cal will be playing Stanford again..this Tuesday... which will be on the ACCnetwork at 10am (pst). Single elimination games. Cal already burned their 2 best pitcher vs the furds Friday, Oliver de Torres (91pitches) & Sat, Gavin Eddy (97 pitches). Wonder who will be the starter tomorrow?

Cal Faces Stanford In ACC Championship
After taking two of three one-run games this weekend, the 13th-seeded California baseball team is headed to Charlotte, North Carolina to face 12th-seeded Stanford once again as the two teams meet in the first round of the 2026 ACC Championship on Tuesday at Truist Field. The winner will go on to play the No. 5 seed Miami on Wednesday.

The Golden Bears (29-25, 12-18 ACC) come into the postseason on the brink of what would be just their second 30-win season in the last six years should they defeat the Cardinal once more. Cal has won five of the six meetings between the two programs since joining the ACC having swept Stanford on the Farm last season. After starting their second ACC campaign with a 1-11 record the Bears went on a run to close out the regular season winning 11 of their final 18 games for a program-best dozen ACC victories.

The latest series between the two Bay Area rivals was an instant classic with all three games coming down to the final pitch to decide the winner. After allowing a four-spot in the top of the first inning in Thursday's series opener, the Bears held the Cardinal to just seven runs over the next 26 innings.

Thanks. Thought it would be him or Ethan Foley but Otto has a better era and hasn't given up as many HRs 3 compared to 8 for Ethan. Otto has started some games but has been one of our top relievers. All hands on deck as this is a do or die game. Hoping we keep our hot streak alive. Go Bears!

Media Relations had posted that the game would be on ESPN2, but I immediately checked, and it was always going to be on the ACCN.

Game delayed as Duke vs NCS still going on. Going b9 with Duke winning 21-9. At least NCS doesn't have to travel far to return home.

Wow..just got back from errands including Costco. B9 10-1. Espinosa was probably the best available today but thinking back if out 2 best pitchers had started game 1 & 2 in the previous furd 's series instead of 2 &3 would the game 1 pitcher be available to pitch today with four-day rest?

Espinoza actually did a good job. A reliever allowed 2 inherited runners to score. Then Cal didn't get anything from a 2nd and 3rd no out situation and then the wheels just came off the wagon.

Yeah in hindsight, probably would of been good to rearrange or rest a couple pitchers in that last series knowing they had this Tuesday game.

Lets see how they play the portal game this offseason. Seems like the last few years has had a ton of turnover
