And for some reason, it still is the 4th largest ECONOMIC POWER in the WORLD.
Generating $4.1 TRILLION in GDP.

I've found that Trump supporters conveniently ignore that.

Nobody ignores it, we just know California could be run so much more efficiently and effectively.

California has a population that would make it the 38th largest country in the world so the whole "it's only a state" argument is flawed to begin with. It's blessed to have natural resources and geography to support many different industries. Shocking that it would be able to generate a strong GDP regardless of who is running it into the ground.

Geography?
You might want to ask yourself why Silicon Valley is located here and not elsewhere.

Yes, geography. Oceans for ports, the Central Valley for farming…. That seems pretty straight forward.

Who knew Newsom created Silicon Valley?!

As a teacher, I would have thought that you would have highlighted the academic institutions here and their research departments that have invariably led to the talent pool in Silicon Valley, let alone the "seeds" for such entrepreneurship.

But you didn't.

I listed a few of the many things that California has going for it. Yes 100% that is a huge resource that Gavin didn't create. You're proving my point while trying to make personal attacks at the same time. Lol love it.

Massive ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach, smaller in Oakland (Central Valley goods) which can ship directly to Asia.

Did Newsom create the gold rush?

Because the California one is on the ballot and could pass. He knows his federal proposal has no chance of passing ever. So, take it out of the hands of the people and at the same time pose as a progressive reformer and satisfy his donors who fear the people's wrath.

Because the correct policy is to apply this at the national level and not the state level where billionaires can play states off each other to get what they want.

I've found that Trump supporters conveniently ignore that.

  • Highest poverty rate in America when you adjust for their insane cost of living.
  • Highest homelessness crisis on the planet, tens of thousands living in tents and feces-filled streets in what used to be paradise.
  • Highest gas prices, sky-high electricity bills (thanks to their green new scam), and businesses fleeing by the hundreds.
  • Unemployment worse than most of the country, with people literally leaving in droves. Record outbound migration to red states where taxes are lower, schools actually work, and you don't need to step over needles on the sidewalk.
  • Massive budget deficits even with some of the highest taxes in America. They're taxing the hell out of everyone and still can't keep the lights on or the streets safe.

  • Newsom inherited an economic and hi-tech locomotive.

I can't think of anything significantly POSITIVE that's he's done to spur our state.

    On a NEGATIVE front, Newsom:

Invited more illegal immigration, and spent tens of Billions on illegal immigrants health care (fiscally negative) which helped drive a huge surplus into a deficit. (While these same individuals send remittances home.)

He tacitly supports a Billionaire Tax, which is driving those same job creators and innovators to flee.

He has continued the Train to Nowhere, an Epic Democrat ill-planned White Elephant (wrong route and implementation).

He has defunded state fiscal auditors.

He never funded the voter-passed Prop 36 in 2024; while Democrats debate diversion bills.

He has closed four State prisons, moving prisoners down to local jails, therefore pushing other criminals out onto the streets. Only the most violent criminals are housed, repeat criminals with extensive rap sheets are released daily.

He has shut down at least two major refineries, making superficial token gestures to negotiate with them to prevent closure. California has gone from a majoe ecporter of oil, to an importer with the nations highest fuel costs: from 40 refineries, to 8, to now 6? Chevron has noted they could also close.

He has continued the mismanagement of our State forests and wildfire threats, driving insurance rates through the roof.

He has failed to bring in Federal forces to return us to a status of equilibrium in our substantial Federal forests.

He released prisoners who were trained wildfire staff during Covid; and released a trained volunteer wildfire crew in SoCal for petty reasons. Another compounding Pacific Palisades factor.

Fire Aide raised $100 Million with promises of direct aid to victims. Instead, "FireAid has granted $75 million of the $100 million raised to a total of 188 non-profits, including $100,000 for voter participation efforts for Native Americans, $550,000 to groups involved in political advocacy, an unknown amount of money toward illegal aliens, $100,000 to podcasters..."

His staff allegedly lied about how much forest management they had accomplished.

He has made no significant move to review and eliminate outdated regulations or laws.

A combination of his Green policies, high taxes, lax-on-crime policies, non-support of Prop 36, homelessness, and rampant drug use - has lead our once vibrant cities to empty.

    This is just a snippet.

Please read the helpful links and see the attached pictures. It is important to understand that 25% is not "Most" and the trend since 2022 is hardly upward.
