The problem with this theory is that coming into today, the USD had gained 2.7%

But there has been no flight to quality.
The yield on the 10 year went from 3.95% to as high as 4.48 last week.

The basis for this speculation is (1) the war is winding down, and (2) Trump knows what he is doing. Oil prices stabilize and the market goes up with the war ending and we in theory should have a stronger dollar, and therefore greater trade deficits. I doubt Trump really can stop the war quickly and that he knows what he is doing, regardless what degree of chess is being played. Just my two cents, and you know, I have been wrong before....
