You guys do realize that Iran is attacking civilian ships and holding us hostage by threatening to continue doing so, right? Given that we don't have an easy way to protect these ships, perhaps we should start hurting them economically by taking out their infrastructure. Assuming that the U.S. was justified in its initial attack on Iran, is it wrong to attack their infrastructure, given the circumstances?

You bomb Iran to the stone age, they bomb the GCC's entire infrastructure and destroy the world's economy. They'll go down slinging, and why shouldn't they. You think we can bomb them into submission because you are clueless about the facts on the ground, and Iran's capabilities, and Trump's gatekeepers have purged all military realists/dissenters leaving the crazed ideologues and sellouts.

This whole thing is a sham, a war of choice imposed on Trump by Israel and its people in his administration, Kushner, Wiles, Witcoff etc. The Iranians offered to get rid of their nuclear program and enriched uranium stockpile in exchange for peace and normalization, Bibi scuttled that deal and killed off the Iranian leadership. Everytime there is progress in negotiations, the Israelis kill whoever was leading the process on the Iranian side.

There are a ton of rational thinkers who have been in the government over the past 20+ years who were all worried about Iran and the missiles and drones they are building and giving to their terrorist proxies across the Middle East all while chanting death to America and Israel. That is why I simply asked, assuming we were justified to attack militarily, if is it okay to now target non-military infrastructure given that they are attacking civilian targets of our allies and friends.

We destroyed a girls school on the first day of bombing. The premise you are trying to build is flawed beyond recognition.

By mistake. It was also next to multiple IRGC compounds. I believe it was previously used by IRGC until they turned it into a school.

There were several other schools hit, and the one in Minab was clearly labeled as a school on all local map, and hundreds of yards away from any military building. We also bombed college campuses, hospitals and mosques.

In this separate smaller incident, the person tweeting at least admits that the gym was next to an IRGC compound.

The map shows that the school is about 300 yards from any military compound, yet it was targeted. with a missile. It's not like any of these schools are secret or hidden, they are clearly visible and marked as such on any local street map.

These schools are just two of a very long list of several dozen schools bombed by the US and Israel, do you really think they made 69 mistakes in row.

" Informed sources tell The Cradle that an "ultra-right" Israeli-aligned current, centered around Jared Kushner in Washington and Netanyahu's coalition, including Ben Gvir, in Tel Aviv, has been feeding Donald Trump manipulated information that downplays Iran's missile capabilities, resistance operations from Iraq and Lebanon, and developments across the Syrian and Yemeni fronts.

According to leaks from within the US National Security Council, senior officials, including Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio, alongside Benjamin Netanyahu's threats to the Hebrew-language media, have in recent days worked to steer Trump toward a broader escalation scenario ahead of his 1 April address.

This escalation could push Iran toward a devastating battle scenario, involving strikes on Saudi oil infrastructure and Israeli energy systems, disruption of Bab al-Mandab Strait, and a potential official withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty."

Possible "Booth" on this thread but...

The "bombing them back to the Stone Age" was almost a direct quote from the Vietnam War, generally attributed to General Curtis LeMay.

Pretty shrewd of Trump's speechwriter to reference that popular war!

PS: It didn't work and is a classic example of why this war is bs.

Your sources are lying about this guy, who has a PhD from the University of Houston, and was involved in negotiations with the US earlier in March, trying to arrange meetings through Pakistan between Iranian officials and JD Vance, who is less tied with Israel than the Kushner/Witkoff team.

Israel tried to kill him, bombed his house, killed his wife, severely wounding him.

This confirms Joe Kent's statement above about Israel targeting Iranian negotiators to sabotage the negotiation process and ensure they get their war and escalation with Iran, fought with US blood and treasure.

You didn't confirm Joe's statement at all. You didn't negate a single thing I said, which is

"Kamal Kharazi was refusing to negotiate with the U.S., said Iran is ready for a long war, there is no room for diplomacy anymore, and Iran will bring economic pain.

Kharazi is known for holding staunch, uncompromising views on Iran's regional power and foreign policy.

He has just stated that Iran views ongoing conflicts as an "existential threat" and is prepared for a "long war" against the U.S. and Israel, arguing that there is "no room" for diplomacy.

Now, he is some peacemaker that was struck to avoid a deal? B.S. propaganda."

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Anwar al-Awlaki also studied in the US.

His full statement and CNN coverage:

Quote:

"I don't see any room for diplomacy anymore. Because Donald Trump had been deceiving others and not keeping with his promises, and we experienced this in two times of negotiations that while we were engaged in negotiation, they struck us," Kharazi told CNN on Monday.

"There's no room unless the economic pressure would be built up to the extent that other countries would intervene to guarantee (the) termination of aggression of Americans and Israelis against Iran," Kharazi said, suggesting that Gulf Arab countries and beyond need to put pressure on the US to end the war.

Bottom line is that Iran was ready to settle before the war started, according to many sources, and that every time a negotiation process has been set, the Iranian negotiators have been killed or incapacitated by Israel.

That is not how you conduct negotiations in good faith, that is how you make sure the war escalates, which suits Israel's interests but not those of the US or the rest of the world.

Thank you for confirming that Kamal was not negotiating with the US.

I am aware that Israel killed Ali Shamkhani on the first day of the strikes. He was the head of Iran's Defence Council, which coordinates the army and IRGC, and was negotiating with the US.

The second paragraph left some room for negotiation ("unless..."), and it's kind of stupid to not expect an opening hard line from these negotiators given that Israel has been killing them, this is completely unprecedented in the history of warfare and diplomacy, and proof of their intent on sabotaging any prospects for peace.

Clearly some bad faith on your part here.

Nobody in the Middle East with half a brain should negotiate with Trump on anything given that he's established that the purpose of negotiations is to halt hostilities to allow Israel and the U.S. to do another surprise attack.

The right move for Iran is to continue to cause the United States never-ending pain until it unconditionally withdraws all troops and military assets from the Middle East and continue bombing the ever loving **** out of Israel.

"Pakistan found out Israel was about to kill the 2 Iranian guys the U.S. was literally in the middle of talking to.

Trump told Israel don't do it.

Then bombs dropped right next to the Pakistani ambassador's building in Iran.

Pakistani intelligence got word that Israel was planning to take out Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the 2 officials the U.S. was actively doing nuclear talks with. Pakistan took it straight to the top. Trump told Israel to back off.

Then not long after, Israeli strikes hit buildings in Iran right next to where the Pakistani diplomats are staying.

No one is calling it intentional. But come on. That is a lot to call a coincidence.

Trump said leave my guys alone. And Israel may have gone after the people who snitched instead.

What kind of alliance is that?"
