I recall watching her confirmation hearing, and all I could see was YELLOW.

I don't think the stress helped her. Unlike Blanche, she had a line (as elastic as it probably was) that she wouldn't cross and the constant pressure she must have been under to violate the Canons of Ethics must have weighed heavy on her (granted, it would take participation in a mass casualty event for a Florida lawyer to get disbarred). You could often see the stress reflected in her face.
