Thread was better when discussing the sexting and nazi tats and how Trump made it so we don't care about moral character anymore….plus it's the topic of the thread

I should have known that by asking for a good MAGA writer people could recommend the thread would turn into attacks on the left without my question ever being answered. That is the answer

You should have known that by supporting Maddow while talking about good journalism would get you called out.

What's a "good MAGA writer" supposed to look like? The whole point of journalism is to be impartial; you're not supposed to know the politics of the journalist.

The NYT in their search for "diversity" always hires the worst kind of Republican toads- David French, Brett Stephen's, David Brooks. All neocon warmongers and representatives of the extinct moderate Republican class, extinct everywhere but the old guard media. They should hire a MAGA columnist.

Who do people recommend as a MAGA columnist? I'm no fan of the NY Times or any of the people you mentioned but even the New York Times doesn't want to hire blatantly dishonest guys like John Solomon.

You like Rachel Maddow, so I don't see the issue with blatant dishonesty. You just care about what color pom poms they're shaking as they lie.

You still haven't presented any actual Rachel Maddow lies

Quote:

"And it's not as if I'm some Platner booster. He's always struck me as an impulsive dumbass (not unlike me I suppose, except I would never run for Congress). But I'll take a dumbass over Susan Collins, a three-decade incumbent who has rubber-stamped every war she's ever met and just about every major Washington disaster since I was in elementary school.

"Consider how she answered Platner's remark that she'd voted to send him to Iraq. She said 'that was Platner's decision to serve. He was not drafted.'

"That's the kind of casual cruelty that falls out of these decorum-humpers the moment an election forces them to face an actual human being. And here's the thing about everyman dumbasses like Platner: they don't talk like that. That line is pure thirty-year operator the reflex of someone who's spent a career treating war as a line item and the people fighting them as a footnote. These people hold you in contempt and are indecent straight through. They just know which side of the plate the salad fork goes on."

NYT is going full National Enquirer on Platner. Lots of innuendo, Karen speak- "toxic, unsettling, collateral damage".; some PTSD - brandishing weapons, excess drink.. But it's not like he drove a young woman off a bridge or committed serious sexual abuse. It's just love in the 21st century.

This is coming from the left. They don't want Platner to make it to fall.

Republicans wouldn't release this info until after the July cutoff date to drop out.

The uniparty doesn't want him, which kind of bolsters his candidacy. You might even see some of the oligarchs who have invested to oust Massie get in on the action.

Edit: sure enough...

AI Overview
The connection between Paul Singer and Graham Platner is that billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Singer is heavily funding an anti-Platner Super PAC in Maine's 2026 U.S. Senate race. [1]
  • The Super PAC: Singer (CEO of Elliott Management) contributed $1 million to the Pine Tree Results PAC, a Republican group backing incumbent Senator Susan Collins. [1, 2]

This will be interesting. Unlike a large state a voter is very likely to have heard, met, or known Platner. This- imo- will play more seriously than random media *****s.

my wife is driving up this AM to pick up fabric for slip covers in Auburn/Lewiston today, she will probably see a black person there. I'll have her ask if they know what Jeffries thinks. It's great that you want him to win.

Not super-likely, but maybe she'll see two Black people, if Cassius Clay and Sonny Liston are still there!

The iconic 1965 heavyweight championship rematch between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston was held in Lewiston, Maine, because it was abruptly forced out of its original location of Boston, Massachusetts, due to severe political, legal, and security controversies. With closed-circuit television commitments looming, the promoters had to scramble for a replacement venue, and Maine's political figures and boxing commission stepped in to save the event on just three weeks' notice. The decision to hold the fight at the tiny Central Maine Youth Center (now the Colisee) was driven by several compounding factors:Why the Fight Fled BostonMob Ties and Legal Issues: The Massachusetts State Boxing Commission heavily scrutinized Sonny Liston's criminal background and the deep-seated connections his management camp had to organized crime. Faced with a pending injunction and a threat of a total fight cancelation, the promoters pulled it from the state.Draft Resistance Contumacy: Ali's growing opposition to being drafted into the Vietnam War created a massive public and political groundswell of resistance against him in Boston.Fears of Assassination: Following the assassination of Malcolm X in February 1965, credible rumors circulated that Black Nationalist hit squads were targeting Ali in retaliation for his fallout with Malcolm X. Most cities were flatly afraid to host an event with such severe security risks. Why Maine Accepted ItQuick Political Intervention: Looking to capitalize on a major televised event, Maine Governor John Reed and Maine Boxing Commission Chairman George Russo offered the state as a safe, regulatory-friendly haven.Local Promoters' Influence: Sam Michael, a local promoter from Lewiston, convinced the desperate Cleveland promoters to place the fight in his hometown simply out of personal convenience and local pride.Because of the incredibly rushed timeline and widespread public fear of ringside violence, only 2,434 fans attended the 4,900-seat hockey rinkresulting in the lowest ticket attendance in heavyweight championship history.Map data 2026 GoogleTerms

The Democrats were illegally laundering money to the SPLC for them to fund white supremacy groups and are also supporting people with Nazi tattoos for political office.

You can't make this up. More power to them.
