That pass with 10 seconds left was brutal but Wemby was nonexistent offensively in the first half last night. Had a nice second half until the last 30 seconds

Brian Windhorst has a cool stat:

" At some point in this series, and maybe it happens at the end, maybe it happens at the beginning, the Knicks have played four fewer playoff games than the Spurs. You just gotta figure that's gonna happen, and this statistic is very fascinating. In the history of the playoffs, when a team that's swept playing against a team that has gone seven games, the team that swept is 20-4. By the way, it was 19-4, and then the Knicks did it last series.

Windhorst defended the statistics by attacking the qualifiers, saying, "So now you can throw all kinds of asterisks on there. You can say, 'Well, the Western Conference this year compared to the Eastern Conference…' But history tells us that that rest difference will make a difference. Mm. So the Spurs have to try to make sure that it doesn't become an issue later in the series."

Being a Lakers fan in New Jersey I always dreaded the idea of the Knicks getting good. But somehow, this playoff run has been fun. It has caught everyone off guard so we haven't had to listen to a year of Knicks fans gloating (that will come in time). I'm even looking forward to a couple of days of mayhem at MSG. I'm sure I'll regret it eventually.

I was rooting for Spurs de knock OKC out, but I cannot support this version of the Spurs to be crowned champs.

Wembanyama is fanatically entertaining, but he's does not yet have a mature enough game to be the king.

One of the reasons why Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was so awesome is that he was steady and reliable. He would come down the court, post up on the block, have the ball dumped into him, and then do his thing.

Wemby wants to be like Steph Curry either with the long range shots or with his dribble drives into the paint. It's interesting to watch, but not reliable.

He needs to go back to the drawing board and develop some patented moves. If he wants to shoot some threes now and then, that's OK, but I see him settling for those when he's tired or when he just wants to make a big splash.

Think about Carl Malone and John Stockton. They ran that same damn elbow picking and roll over and over and over again for many many years. You still couldn't stop it.

I look forward to watching Wembanyama develop. But it's not going to happen in the next week or two.

I'm not saying I'm rooting for the next. I have never rooted for a New York team. But, I guess I'll be sad if this immature San Antonio team wins.

I'm rooting for the Knicks because Mike Brown is a great dude and former Warrior's Championship coach.

Wembanyama is not nearly aggressive enough.
Barkley is spot-on about this.

KAT has been super aggressive.
Especially in Q3 of the last game when they were down 14.

For most of his career, Towns' reputation was of a player who just wanted to run up big stats on a losing team.

I'll take Draymond Green over Towns anytime. He's in the twilight of his career now, but he plays winning basketball.
