Baseball Announces Opening Weekend Schedule Change

BERKELEY – Due to an inclement weather forecast, the California baseball team has made the following changes to its opening-weekend schedule with Santa Clara.

Friday's season opener in Berkeley will go as planned, but the Golden Bears and Broncos will now play a Saturday doubleheader at Stu Gordon Stadium. First pitch of game one of the doubleheader is set for 2:05 p.m. with game two scheduled to start 45 minutes after its completion.

All three games will air on ACCNX/ESPN+.

It has not yet been determined whether one or both of the games scheduled to take place in Santa Clara on Sunday and Monday will be canceled. More information will be released when those decisions are made.
