A Whittier native, Joaquin graduated from Cal in May, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies with a Minor in Disability Studies. Previously, Joaquin was a Digital Content Writer and Editor for NBC Sports Bay Area and California, where he started as an intern in 2023 and wrote over 1,000 articles about Northern California's professional teams; simultaneously, Joaquin was The Daily Californian and KALX Radio’s Cal Athletics reporter.
