The Bears grabbed one of their top targets in the 2026 transfer portal when they secured a commitment from Rutgers junior wide receiver Ian Strong following the 2025 season.
The 6-3/210 receiver had 95 catches, 1,438 yards and 10 touchdowns the last two seasons for the Scarlett Knights and was being hotly pursued by Notre Dame before choosing the Bears.
"I feel like it's a great organization," Strong said of his commitment to Cal over his other suitors.
