Cal head coach Tosh Lupoi and staff are in acquisition mode with lots more offers to prep athletes around the country extended this week.

In total, the Bears sent out 14 offers in the last week of April, with multiple to players in southern California, Texas and Georgia. The youngest recruit is the graduating class of 2029.

The first to receiev offers were reciever/returner Micah Slade and defensive lineman Stephan Harrison, both of Sierra Canyon, who announced their offers on April 23.

A total of eight offers were doled out on April 27 with receiver Damarion Mays and safety Brock Lacy of North Crowley receiving offers. Quarterback Prince Amari Aminu and Dale Perry, both of Langston Hughes, also received their offers that day.

Additionally, offensive tackle Sire Stewart of Chandler, defensive lineman Kamari Wilson of Mount Tahoma, receiver/returner Aidan Caleb Rodriguez of Mountain Pointe and cornerback Quinn Pollock of McEachern announced their offers on the 27.

Offensive tackle Anthony Blalock of Fitch High School, receiver Jayden Thomas of Las Vegas Centennial, edge Asa Burch of Harding High School, and receiver Dennis Tua’one of Timpview all received their offers on April 28.

The new crop of offers is potentially exciting for a Bears’ squad that’s eager to see what direction new Head Coach Tosh Lupoi will direct the program. The expectations are high but the talent is there for a competitive, if not expectation-exceeding season.

Blalock, part of the 2028 class, is a 6’5” right tackle who was impactful for the Fitch Falcons’ ground game during his sophomore season. His highlight reel showed that he was useful in getting to the second level for Falcons’ rushers.

Thomas, part of the 2027 class is a 6’0” multi-sport athlete. He set top marks of 10.88 in the 100-meter dash in Track and Field and finished his junior season on the gridiron with a 19.1 ypc and 11 TDs.

At 6’5” Burch is an adaptable edge in the 2028 class. His highlight reel featured one interception returned for a TD and demonstrated a remarkable versatility for both pass and run coverage.

Pollock, the 6’1” corner in the 2028 class, played on both sides of the ball and returned kicks during his sophomore season. He defended well against the pass well and delivered crushing hits in run defense.

Lacy, the 6’1” safety in the 2028 class, was first team all-district in his sophomore season with 11 tackles for loss. He played both outside linebacker and safety for the North Crowley Panthers.

Amari Aminu is a 6’1” quarterback from Langston Hughes in Atlanta. His highlight reel was impressive as he was able to air it out deep and cut apart defenses on slant and out routes. Beyond just that, he was accurate passing on the move, utilizing the run fake a few times.

Tua’one, a lightning-quick 6’1” two-way receiver from Timpview in Utah, will be a highly sought after reciever in the 2028 class. He’s another multi-sport athlete and finished 2025 with a 10.98 sec 100m dash, 5’11” in the high jump and 21’ 8.75” in the long jump. In 2024, he had four receiving touchdowns and one kick return TD.

Mays, a 6’3” receiver who transferred to North Crowley for his sophomore season, put up huge numbers his freshman year at Dallas Life Oak Cliff, catching 68 passes for more than 1,600 yards and 14 touchdowns on 24.1 yards per reception. With the Panthers, he was tremendously useful as a jump ball specialist in the red zone.

Stewart, a 6’5” tackle from Chandler, could potentially join fellow Wolves on the Cal roster - Quaron Adams and Kyion Grayes - when he graduates in 2027. He’s a physical lineman with strong balance and an ability to protect the passer and move the line for rushers.

Wilson, a rare class of 2029 offer, is a 6’3” defensive lineman out of Mount Tahoma.

Slade, a 5’10” receiver out of Sierra Canyon, is class of 2028 who played both football and basketball. His athletic playmaking ability would undoubtedly be valuable in the Bears’ offense.

Harrison is a 6’4” defensive lineman also from Sierra Canyon, graduating class of 2029. He’s lean, at 250 pounds, and thus has the ability to play edge.

Rodriguez is another tall receiver, 6’3” with an athletic build, coming out of the 2028 graduating class. He was a 5A first-team all-region as a sophomore for Mount Pointe in Phoenix.

Perry, a 6’2” cornerback also out of Langston Hughes in Georgia, is currently a three-star recruit in the 2028 class. In his sophomore season, he was adept at guarding against the run or the pass and would be a versatile addition to the Bears’ roster.
