I love his descriptions of the names. And yet, the only name that I could think of, before I read his 117-player list, didn't even make the list: Hawthorne Wingo.

The first name mentioned, #117 on the list was Dwayne Bacon. Which reminded me that I used giggle a little when ASU hoops had players named - Veal with Capers and Bacon.

It was a different player named Bacon than mentioned in the article but it still triggered the memory. I think it was mid 90's-ish.

Back in the day, Quincy Pondexter's father was drafted by the NBA but signed with an ABA team and eventually played in Europe - anybody else remember Roscoe Pondexter from Fresno? I always loved his name. He had a brother, Clifton, who I think did play in the NBA and I remember watching him dominate in the old TOC.
