stu, as is the case every year, the head coach wears down her players with too minutes during the season which results in late in the season losses piling up from poor shooting from tired legs & back ups transferring out because of a lack of playing time
lulu & gisella both played 40 minutes at miami, they combined for a fatigued 10 of 36 shooting and 6 for 24 on 3 point shooting...they are both noticeably exhausted
at the same time the head coach has stubbornly played naya limited minutes outta position all season (she lacks the height & length to guard 5s & predictably gets into foul trouble when playing the post) instead of letting her thrive/develop at the 4 with 30+ minutes per game plus some twin tower minutes at the 5 & a few nightmare posting up her defender minutes at the 3
this is a poorly coached team, the head coach's calcifying the turnover culture & sub .300 career conference record is not an anomaly...a head coach can be a good person & also a failing coach
and nothing is gonna change (the lack of a wbb fanbase, the lack of donors willing to pony up money for the necessary nil dollars to retain players, the lack of donors necessary for the basketball practice facility) until chancellor lyons terminates the co athletic director responsible for the 100% mismanagement of multiple women's sports including but not limited to basketball, softball, volleyball, field hockey, cross country & track and field in addition to the life changing atrocities committed against the swimmers & their families
