I am seeing Natalie (batting .303, 33 AB) and Tamya (ERA 7.49) on On3, but not Nina (0 stat).

Did Nina every play last year..didnt see any at bats for her. If true I can see her leaving

It's odd that Natalie had the highest average but only batted third of the others.

She announced her transfer two days ago. So looks like we have 3 open spots (for now).

Just started looking in the portal and saw that Junion, Meika Lauppe from ASU is available. She is a NoCal girl. She had a pretty good year with most win percentage and and ERA of 3.59. This would be an upgrade. We need bandaids for now full Coach Steve is established.

Based on the above stats however, we won't win much games. It maybe a repeat of 2025-2026 season.

The latest info is that we have 8 new players coming in. However, I feel we have more. I am confident we'll get more impact players.

I am thinking this congress is the one trying to pass the NIL bill. I have a feeling it will get filabustered as per usual. I am hopeful that this administration will apply some pressure and get it done.

The 2026 class has five freshmen, but who are the other three? Do the Bears have three transfers already?

From what it sounded like, it was a done deal. I dont know who the 3 are. At minimum 3, I think and hope it will be more.

Damn it, I was hoping for her and Salmon. It looks like UCLA is trying to get pitchers and not have the similar season with only Tinsley.

Given last year's results, I care a lot more about who might be coming than who is leaving.

It's interesting that three of the five players in the portal are catchers. This means we are expecting catchers. Considering that they are typically good hitters... Alyssa Herrera is currently our only remaining catcher, and we'll need at least a couple of bullpen catchers.

I don't claim to know her measurables I just watched a handful of videos online. As mentioned above, beautiful violent lefty swing with good contact. Very quick out of the box and down to first. And a plus arm in the outfield. 85 mph fastball pitcher at Brown but also played outfield. Obviously, she won't be a softball pitcher, but a plus arm for sure.

Moving from baseball to softball is really tough, but here's hoping she can do it, it might be fun to watch.

Good news! The way that I figure it-it's worth rolling the dice on any new pitching that's available. It has to be superior to the staff that Cal fielded last season. GO BEARS!

Kids remember these things as do parents. This is very very smart of Coach Sing. I'd rather it read Berkeley or Cal Berkeley though as some does not translate Cal to UC Berkeley. (This is a hot subject, I know)

PGF is contracted with ESPN. I hope the Allstar game will be televised. This will be a tremendous flex for Cal. Maybe they'll pick me to do the game. lol, wishful thinking. I doubt that'll happen since they will only use college umps for this big of a game. (I need to retire my 9-5 to do college)

Sounds like a fun and rewarding post 9 to 5 venture. You'll get some inside scoop too ; )

Can't wait to see Clincy in action. Yeah, the high school stats are impressive... but her club team has also been extremely successful with her as the ace. We desperately need the talent in the circle.

So neither "Berkeley " nor "Cal Berkeley" is our brand, nor are they licenseable. "Cal" and "UC Berkeley" are our brands. It makes no sense to perpetuate fake names, which the campus has done, and that is why our brand, and especially the Chancellor's branding, is a fool's errand. You can't unring the bell! The campus should strengthen the actual brands instead of all the confusion they continue to push. BTW, their own data showed that "Berkeley" is so political that you lose 50% of the U.S. with that reference.
