Aw gee, I'm really sorry!

That's very real.

You have my condolences as well. Losing a parent hurts. The pain lessens over time but it never completely goes away.

Its the worst.

My Dad died at 76 of a heart attack.
I thought he was gonna live to 100 like his Dad.
I was doing CPR on him and I knew he wasnt coming back.

My condolences.

Thank you to our moderator for cleaning up this thread from people's pettiness.

The obituary thread is allowed to stray off topic, but there is no room for such pettiness and slights here.
It's like, wow, how hurtful can you be?
Live long and prosper.
And maybe extend the kindness felt here to elsewhere in OT.

Might have been noted before, i forget stuff (alot), but imo a great american hero who died recently; so knock one back for Country Joe. Heard singing his most famous anthem here..

nearly a decade older younger than this fool but, dang, he sure could sing..

esp on topic of Cal, of course, because..

Thx for posting the video. I enjoyed that!

If you are nearly a decade older than you are into your 90's and that means,

I was talking to my uncle the other day.
He was prime to get drafted into the army and at the last minute he was accepted into coast guard officer school and after 3 months he was sent to governors island as assistant to the head man there.

Life can shift on such subtle things.
He could have been one of the guys in Platoon, instead was doing dances and socials in NYC.

I enjoy talking to "old" people. They are able to inform me of things I have no experience with. i'm sure you've had a rich life, and I respect that. Particularly because you're such a cool fellow!
