Let's review here. I said that if they're in favor of cage matches on the White House lawn it kind of does make them look like dumb hillbillies (which were your words, by the way, not mine). That's about actual behavior and not just stereotyping. I didn't make any comment about ALL Trump supporters. Indeed, per the polling I just cited, it seems like plenty of Republicans aren't in favor of this event either, a group that surely includes plenty of Trump voters.

You're trying to paint with a broad brush that simply isn't there in my comments.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and its parent company, TKO Group Holdings, covered the entire $60 million production, staging, and event cost. The Executive Office of the President, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Park Police, Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Department of Homeland Security, and Federal Aviation Administration.

Security Costs:
Taxpayers covered the expenses and overtime for the heavy federal law enforcement, perimeter security, and traffic/crowd control required to manage the 4,000 guests inside the South Lawn and the 120,000 attendees on the nearby Ellipse.


The White House is famously known as the "People's House" because it belongs to all Americans, serving as a symbol of democracy rather than a royal residence.

This is so humorous coming from the side that literally tore down statutes across the country like ISIS did. I'd say the left is a much better connection this than anything the right has done.

In this war, so far, we have lost less than we lose a year of no military combat at all.

To look at this exercise in combat and negotiation of a peace going forward, you have to know what the goals were to begin with, and whether we have achieved any or all of them, before you can say this war has failed. So far we the public know very little. Iran is run by religious fanatics. They are hard to predict, militarily and in negotiations.

I said before this began that the Mullahs are fanatics, and their believers are fanatics. I said that the only way to fully defeat them is to put boots on the ground, and probably kill a whole lot of civilians who do not like this regime in the process. Or use nuclear weapons like we did in Japan. Neither seems desirable or acceptable.

We don't know what the goals were, and we don't know everything which has been accomplished. We are still negotiating, and each side is taking pains to conceal what they are asking for and what are they willing to give in on.

I suggest you hold your horses and wait for the ending. The Straits are slowly opening, and some oil is moving. Let's see what happens next.

Sadly, it seems the US president's negotiators have solved only the problems Trump himself has created.

This goes all the way back to the Republican's first term when he tore up President Barack Obama's original 2015 deal with Iran.

We don't know what the goals were?
The goals early on were for regime change and preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

But let's be honest, the war has not significantly changed Iran's nuclear capability. U.S. intelligence last month estimated that Iran would need less than a year to produce a nuclear weapon the same timeline it laid out following the June 2025 strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

As for regime change, that effort clearly failed.

SFCB, my concern is that we don't have any experienced diplomats in this administration. There is a skill set involved just like there is one involved in being a competent college head hoop coach.

It is a failure because we have expended a lot of resources to get nothing better than what we had before. Unless someone can tell me what the actual positive outcome of all of this was.

You have quite an imagination.

How is the recent war with Iran a failed war? America has lost 13 service members, while Iran has lost 3,300 military and civilians. America loses an average of 20 to 80 service members each year in training exercises and in combat exercises or non-combat alone. In this war, so far, we have lost less than we lose a year of no military combat at all.

To look at this exercise in combat and negotiation of a peace going forward, you have to know what the goals were to begin with, and whether we have achieved any or all of them, before you can say this war has failed. So far we the public know very little. Iran is run by religious fanatics. They are hard to predict, militarily and in negotiations.

I said before this began that the Mullahs are fanatics, and their believers are fanatics. I said that the only way to fully defeat them is to put boots on the ground, and probably kill a whole lot of civilians who do not like this regime in the process. Or use nuclear weapons like we did in Japan. Neither seems desirable or acceptable.

We don't know what the goals were, and we don't know everything which has been accomplished. We are still negotiating, and each side is taking pains to conceal what they are asking for and what are they willing to give in on.

I suggest you hold your horses and wait for the ending. The Straits are slowly opening, and some oil is moving. Let's see what happens next.

It is a failure because we have expended a lot of resources to get nothing better than what we had before. Unless someone can tell me what the actual positive outcome of all of this was.

How about the final nail in Trump's coffin (figuratively speaking)?
