Whenever Obama - or any other politician- talks about "ordinary folks" he means people he doesn't know or come in contact with.

Ironically, what is finally waking some folks on the Democratic side to how vapid she is as a candidate is her contradiction of the Colbert narrative on why the Talerico interview didn't get broadcast on CBS. They can't stand her supporting the FCC/Trump narrative.

I will say that I thought she was a dope before this Colbert thing but it's nice to see her prove it fully.

So you're saying she didn't get screwed by Colbert because it's pretty clear she did. Talerico was able to use it as a big fundraiser.

She's been on Colbert twice before. It has nothing to do with him.

He probably would have brought her on too if she'd wanted. The issue seems to be about the FCC changing their long-time rules about political candidates appearing on late-night talk shows (in the past they had always been exempt), focusing them only on liberal/left outlets, and Colbert not wanting to bow to this additional pressure.

As with Jimmy Kimmel, the FCC is doing this in about as clumsy and stupid a way possible, so it quickly backfired. But that is what they are doing.

They announced the change in pursuing this months ago but the law hasn't changed. Are you saying it's bad they finally are enforcing the law?

If they are enforcing it selectively and unequally, yes.

By not enforcing this with Colbert, wouldn't that be enforcing it selectively and unequally?
