my younger brother is also a (self-employed) plumber, going back decades, semi-retired, as one does, and a certified high school graduate /* live long and prosper */
Markwayne Mullin, Trump's new pick to lead DHS, praised the Capitol cop who shot and killed unarmed Air Force vet Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6th and portrayed him as the real victim.

In the fairly near future, there will be a premium on people who can put down their phones and actually do s****. When I tell this to my kids, they roll their eyes: they think there will be a premium on people who have taken a lot of AP classes.
Speaking of kids, when I first read the title of this thread, I figured it was NOT suitable for them.

Strange response. What does my post have to do with you?

It's not the teachers. It's parents at home. There's very little accountability and partnership.

The teachers have the kids for six hours a day, 180 days a year. That's 1,080 hours, leaving 7,680 hours when they are not in the classroom. If you don't want to count sleeping hours, that still leaves 4,760 hours.
Our education system can always do better, who can't, but let's not blame teachers for this. Most teachers care about kids and are trying their best.

I know you feel a certain way about teachers and I respect that. Given your experience as a teacher, let's go back to class and do a case study. Let's study BS's posting over 100X a day on school day (multiple days) while presumably working as a teacher. I find that worrisome and suspect, leading me to believe he is doing a disservice to his employer, students and parents.
He's a fan of Kirk. Kirk asked for debates to "Prove Me Wrong". With this case study and my finding above, "Prove me Wrong".
This is fun. Looking forward to C's feedback.

It's also the lack of attention by teachers and admins that are on the net and using AI so they have even more time on their hands to peruse the net and post trolling items.

What has been your average number? I would state for most days this week at least 75+ a day, and definitely sometimes in the 90 plus territory. As a parent of a child in a school now, if I heard a teacher was doing this during the school day with the combativeness shown, I would be completely outraged. I am outraged for the students. Time spent here takes away from tutoring, helping with letters of rec, lesson planning, helping out the school. It saddens me.
Be Best!
