Both the women's and men's team are fairly young. Women's average age is under 24 and men's is 28. Compared to Canada's at 30 for both teams. Good chance of being able to see some great US hockey in France in four years

It will probably be played in Lyon, so some good eating as well as good viewing, not that the eateries aren't great everywhere else in France, but Lyon is special. The indoor venue is not super big, but hockey is not very popular in France so maybe the tix won't be that hard to get.

Rank has its privileges, I guess.

For what it's worth, my agency has been asking for volunteers to work at the upcoming World Cup and will almost certainly be doing so for the 2028 Olympics. We probably have a few higher ups at the current Olympics watching how the Italians are handling things. We had a few at the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, it wouldn't likely involve sitting in the stands and hobnobbing in the clubhouse. We would be miles away in the Operations center. I'm not planning to volunteer as my job skills aren't likely to be needed. Also, with our short staffing, I doubt they will take anyone from our office.

To be fair, I'm certain the FBI has people at the current Olympics watching and planning ahead for 2028, but I don't see any need for the FBI director to be there and certainly not to be celebrating in the locker room.
