China policy for decades under multiple administrations has been a business first policy, hence the gutting out of select parts of the country . The other governing- but idiotic principle- was that China having being exposed to the free market would throw off totalitarianism and embrace democracy. If anything, the reverse is true: we became more authoritarian

The talks are going too well in such a short amount of time. It seems most of the major discussion items have been settled prior to the trip, and that some type of deal was in the works prior to the start of military action against Iran.
