Was Trump speculating or was he TELLING YOU what already happened? Is the audit already done and the results classified?

Auditing Fort Knox and other US gold reserves was just red meat being thrown at concerned voters, much like with the Epstein files saga. These reserves haven't been audited in decades, including Trump's first mandate, and they're not going to be audited under Trump's second either.

There's no record of Trump mentioning auditing Fort Knox in his first term.
even if he did he's certainly forgotten about it like he did a more recent similar promise. Lies are more difficult to keep track of as well. He's got a lot of those to juggle lol

These were proposals that he floated and expressed support for rather than firm, promises with detailed implementation plans. These weren't promises made on the campaign trail or at the State of the Union.

OK, but why has it been more of a problem the last decade or so in regions like Oklahoma? Increased economic pressure, higher costs of living, more social dislocation... Note as well that the number of working poor living in their cars has also shot up.
