Really a great effort by both the Cal men and women swimmers. Interesting to see how many of the Freshman are really making an impact in their first year.

Fun to see that 7 Cal men earned points in the 500 Free Style finishing 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 12th, 17th & 24th earning 98 points for the Cal men while 5 Cal women finished high enough in the 500 Free Style to earn points by finishing 5th, 9th, 13th, 14th & 17th which earned the women's team 81 points. Even more impressively 5 Virginia women finished in the top six in the 500 free placing 1-4 & 6th earning a total of 127 points in that one event. Nothing like having depth.

Three more days of competition. GO BEARS!
