"Lock" might be too strong, but if he is eligible I would say almost certainly. First, he probably won't even hear if he is eligible from the judge before the Portal opens and closes. Second, he is 5'6" so no point declaring for the draft. He might get a look as an UFA kick returner, but NIL in college is a sure thing. He has established himself at Cal and has rapport with a top QB. If we add some bigger, deep threat WRs, he will be money on the underneath routes. He is a local kid, so that Cal degree is super valuable. Even if he has his degree, I'd think a grad certificate program would be worth it for him.

JKS will get other targets but he will want DeJesus to stick around to at least have his check downs taken care of

Imagine JDJ comin' out of the slot if we had some X and Z receivers with gravity (and a RB who was a threat): synergy!

this is a wildly entertaining FUN team (9-5) to watch that dominates mid major schools but throughout the coach smith era gets outcoached in close games against elite competition

current back up 5 naya ojuwku (who is a natural 4) played another phenomenal game once again in limited minutes (18, sakima played the other 22 minutes) with 16 points on an unreal 7 of 8 field goals along with 5 boards & ZERO turnovers

naya's limited minutes are not a function of some mysterious illness, she's 100% healthy & it's a poorly conceived playing rotation by the staff that don't play her 10 minutes at the 5 & 20 minutes at the 4 (with walker on the floor too) every game...it's a shame that charmin don't consult with tara on how to get her 2 best post players on the floor at the same time (which will ultimately just waste their talents just like she did with michelle & gabby last season)
