s&c work: collin's off season 10 lbs of weight gain (not all muscle) is resulting in another gear off the tee, the struggling cal men's golf program will not change its current trajectory until the undersized team gets bigger/stronger

bizarro par 3s: despite overall strong shotmaking today morikawa missed the green on all 4 of the riv's par 3s

sand play: during his berkeley collegiate days collin wuz functionally adequate at best with his bunker play, now he's ELITE with his kinda unique style of choking up all the way up to the steel part of the shaft & hitting shots with SPEED thru the ball, there's a beautiful artistry of morikawa sand shots (seve level mastery on the 6th & 16th holes) these days!!

max homa (70, tied for 20th): despite missing 8 of 14 fairways off the tee, max hit 13 greens in regulation & also got it up & down 4 outta 5 times with his soft hands scrambling skillz...amazing par save on the challenging par 4 2nd hole when pulled his 2nd shot from the wet rough 65 yards left of the green across the 10th hole tee box & almost onto the 9th green, wowza!!...roll on u maxazillion!!

michael kim (72, tied for 44th): despite missing more than half the greens in regulation (8 outta 18), michael didn't lose his **** & kept his round together with chip in birdies on the 12th & 14th holes and a chip to a kick in birdie on the 17th hole!!

let's be real here fsu is a really bad basketball team, this would've been a blowout if the cal head coach had not bizarrely once again kept her most productive offensive player naya ojuwku (4 points on 2 of 4 field goals in 5 minutes) on the bench instead of letting her play thru her 3 fouls and playing 30+ minutes at the 4 (it's this kind of poor decision making/failure to utilize player's talents that explains why charmin is a career .300 conference head coach)
