And what's your answer to Lola?

Would have to ask her. But must think that she can be a starter someplace else.

For those with closer connections to the team, are there any shoes that we are worried about dropping? Or is Lola maybe the big one?

Lola was good on defense with only a rare turnover but was poor on offense with a few rare 3 pointers made. Why can't we get enough players who can both score and defend? Is it because those are rarer to come by and when they do show up- they go to the top BB schools so we have to settle for the players who can do only one or the other??

Given how many unhappy players have entered the portal nationwide, I would think that many feel that they should be starters. Charmin was able to promise that to Sakima and Mjracle, and not sure what was offered to Naya. So, with no further departures, the starters will be Lulu, Taylor, Gisella and two portal players? Or Zara? Naya? The Greek might be redshirted.

If any of these players change their mind about the portal on their own or through the encouragement of the coaching staff, there are procedures to follow in order to withdraw. Keep that in mind.

I agree. I liked Lola's defense especially.

The big ones I hope stay:
Lulu, Naya, Gisella, Mjracle, Taylor, not in any particular order after Lulu.

I hope those players stay too

I just saw Tennessee has ZERO players for next year. I mean seriously, what is even the point of "college" sports any more?

There's got to be some type of regulation or boundaries.

thanks, confirmed..

We had a lot of guards on the roster this season. Maybe they all wanted to start. Maybe they all wanted starter money. If so there's nothing we can do. Maybe some were unhappy with the program or the university or the town or something. If so that's sad but that's life.

The one I would most like to have kept is Grace. She has a wide variety of skills and plenty of time for development.

Why wonder some schools have stopped doing HS recruits. What's the point when they are just gonna transfer anyway?

Or maybe it's just part of being a McCallop.

Doing some investigating, I found that her older sister (Emajin McCallop) who also plays college basketball (guard) is a redshirt-junior at Truman State University (Missouri). This is her third school. First, it was Alabama A&M, then Washburn University.

Watching the MBB National Championship game tonight (Michigan v. UConn).
Announcer said that all 5 starters for Michigan are transfers.

New day and age for both WBB and MBB.

NIL and the unchecked transfers have ruined college sports. Why invest in rooting for a player who may leave at any moment and does not feel loyalty to your school. I think this all goes back to the greed of coaches and NCAA. If they had kept their pay and loyalty in order, players wouldn't have felt ripped off.

I think that was high school, but even that might be gone.

I'm a UCLA grad, and not nearly as true as I am to Cal. But I take your point. And I detest this system.
