Holding an I-phone doesn't mean you are journalisming. Lemon participated in the illegal activity. If he stood outside the church or in the doorway you could claim he's doing journalism. He went into the church with them and assisted them in disrupting the service and that's clearly visible.

First of all, don't use Google for anything. Google is as in bed with the government as any company can be. The fact that they didn't end up providing the government with what was requested doesn't change that.

Secondly, this story reminds me of Douglass Mackey.

What's the supporting information behind this graphic? College faculty and admin are mostly left leaning.

Ther term, "hate speech", was invented by leftist academics.

Safe spaces were born on college campuses for liberals.

I agree this was a bad prosecution, but I will note that there is a degree of difference between simply writing a letter in support of someone and designing what would appear to be fake ads from a real political campaign.

There's actually no difference and the reason you can't tell is because you don't actually support free speech

Sorry, what? There's no difference between a private communication and something that amounts to false advertising directed at a broad audience?

I would guess the recent spike in campus censorship is mainly college admins cracking down on anti-genocide protests.

That's what I suspected too. The admin was cracking down on protestors who were cracking campus buildings.

You don't need to state the same thing twice. You should spend less time trying to win on replies and more time reading the legal explanation above about why you don't understand free speech.

So I already agree that both examples probably should qualify as free speech and not be prosecuted. I can also see degrees of difference within that and why one might come closer to being actionable than the other. Is there anything else I fail to understand?

Also, LOL at you accusing anyone else of "trying to win on replies."

The "they" argument here is so strange to me. Don Lemon and Ana Navarro are different people. Why does this guy lump them together as through they are some kind of hive mind? Was Lemon also a big grand jury fan at some point?

(Like, yes I agree that some liberals got too excited about grand jury indictments of Trump, but this argument from "Western Lensman" is poor.)

All it takes is a couple of goofs in the mail room (do they still have those?) to push Trump propaganda:

"The Washington Post laid off one-third of its staff today including 300+ of roughly 800 journalists in its legendary newsroom, Axios' Sara Fischer reports."
Axios

I don't know. I keep asking the BI Trump fanboys who their "go to" Fact Checkers are but no takers yet.

I presume a Fact Checker that consistently confirmed the truthfulness of their "truth" and rejected the actual truth would not be in business any longer than a use of force expert that opined that the ICE murders in Minneapolis were good shoots.

We are the media, we are the fact checkers, everyone on social media. It's decided by everyone and not by a handful of people running news organizations. This is the reason why in Europe the authoritarians are going after X and why Obama thinks social media is the greatest threat to Democracy.

The left will regroup and go hard after social media companies in the U.S. again, particularly Elon Musk and X. When they control information, they win.
