The Art of Distraction is harder to pull off when you start gunning down American citizens in the street like it's Dodge City. This is snowballing and Trump knows it. The man who likes to double down is going to have to pivot, ratchet things back and make ICE less about the political theater of showing how mean and scary Trump's big swinging dick is and more about accomplishing the mission in a lower key manner.

Honestly, why should I care if citizens in Minnesota are organizing to track and report on ICE activities? Is this not our right as citizens? Does this somehow justify protestors being shot?

I'm sure those in the GOP leadership who are afraid of being voted out of office at Midterms have burned up the phone lines to the Oval Office over the last day or so.
