Campo also got Santana, Steve Miller, and Frumious Bandersnatch in the late 60's.

I think all this was in 68 or 69.

Eddie played a party at my frat in '75. I gave him the check ($500). He was professional, a gentleman and he killed it that night.

Greg Kihn, Jimmy Lyon, and Eddie (circa early 80's)

Got free tickets to go see Eddie Money once (this was after he was in the greatest hits portion of his career) playing a relatively small venue compared to what he played in his heyday. Absolutely killed it - gave 100%. Great showman.

Also apparently a very nice guy in person.

I read the definitive Dead book, A Long Strange Trip and was surprised to see they played at Las Lomas in the 1960's

October 1966 for $2.00

Sponsored by the WC Civic Arts Center.
Only 50 to 100 showed up. The band was bummed that the school had a policy banning dancing.

The late Markie Post was probably at the back of the gym on a snootful of blotter acid doing interpretive dancing.

Great venue - best beer selection west of the Mississippi as well?

They have a lot of European beers in the back fridge.
But the beers on tap suck.

Typical line-up from Markstein Distributing, Antioch.
Lagunitas, Budweiser, Modelo, etc.

The Jukebox Rocks!
Need quarters.

See whether wildfire mitigation measures (cleared defensible space, ember-resistant vents, a Class A roof, etc.) qualify you for discounts.

Friends and I really enjoyed the Town of Moraga's 4th of July Celebration yesterday.

2 bands + fireworks

Gorgeous venue and well attended without feeling cramped.

Hope Everyone enjoyed a Safe & Sane 4th last night.

I drove from Alameda, through parts of Oakland. It was wild, what a ride. I'm glad I missed some of the peak moments, but I saw plenty of littered small neighborhood intersections.

I guess I ended up w some Manners Privilege as the Latinas working allowed us some nosh at Quality Donuts up above Eastmont while denying a group of young African American young ladies. Folks were lined up on 73rd (?) to get a hilltop view of the fireworks.

Last year, my GF and I were in downtown Antioch to see our favorite Prince tribute band, The Purple Ones.

We decided to stick around for the Fireworks that were being lit off of a barge on the water.
Just shortly before it ended, we got back in her SUV and headed out back to Highway 4 to avoid all of the traffic.

Driving thru a residential area and making our way back to Highway 4 was a trip.

People were lighting off so much fireworks from their homes that their "displays" would rival any commercial display held at a high school. I couldn't believe what was going on. Didn't matter what direction you were heading or looking around to.

- - - Felt like being in a warzone!

Of course, this was the weekend that Alabama RB Najee Harris (who was headed to the San Diego Chargers) came back to his hometown to party with his buddies from their apartment balcony and one of his friends blew his fingers off at 1:00 am.
