What happened to "Ondine Achampong loves Berkeley" stated repeatedly here? If Ondine & Tonya split, it's over for next season. I cannot believe it. Mya Wiley has not been consistent in the vault & uneven bars for Cal.

Well there may be nothing to this at all? But who knows, Ondine got re-injured here, her original coaches left, and maybe she feels like a change of scenery is a reset she needs. Her and Mya seem like tight friends hence the idea of a package deal though I don't know that Mya would be a Stanford target. Tonya is flat out a portal target as a super talented gymnast, regardless of how much she likes it here. Sounds like her season ended on a frustrating note though. She had a bad back all year and then the vault got left on Casey Browns height, in the NCAA prelims no less with a lot of eyes watching.
Sounds like there may be something to conflict with new coach and Wylie. Wylie and Ondine are bff. If Wylie is out on bad terms, might mean Ondine leaves as well.
That person Eric is pretty tied to the gymternet. I would say there is definitely smoke here. Stack-Eaton might just sabotage her coaching career if she lets Ondine and Paulsson go.

IF this is true about Ondine..then forget about even thinking about the twins coming here.
Who knows who follows who on IG (or if they ever did) but Ondine and Mya don't current follow Coach Stack-Eaton, while Tonya does FWIW. Mya also doesn't have @Calwgym in her bio and again I don't know if she did before but I bet she did.

The eric guy says wiley definitely transferring - he has some "private" info. Another person says coaches cut Wiley.
Trouble at CAL. Mya Witte cut from team for soeaking up anout how she has been treated. Ondine trying to support her. Ondine just started following a whole host of coaches. The fear is she may leave CAL

In any event Cal woman's gymnastics is just like everyone of our other teams. Our top players are plucked by the SEC or the other two big four leagues. We are no more than a developmental team for the power conferences.

Final Four for NCAA Championship: Florida & LSU from one semi-final join Oklahoma & Minnesota from the other. It is being televised on channel 7 (ABC) at 1 pm PST today.
Our two top coaches came from the Golden Gophers. Minnesota eliminated UCLA, too. Utah also did not make it this year.

didn't watch the finals .. I saw their criticism of the coverage of Minnesota. Apparently espn didn't cover them very much compared to the others. that sucks. Women's Gym is still very much 3-4 teams stacked with 4 & 5 stars. We should really appreciate Cal's magical run a couple of years ago.
I haven't seen much (none recently) gymternet chatter on X or Reddit on Ondine. or Paulsson. Hopefully it will work itself out for the best for Cal.

This year I actually paid for season tickets to the WGymnastic team for the first time. Wanted to make a small donation. I will be disappointed if they start to transfer out.

Where is Jordyn Lyman of Minnesota in the portal? Is she not longer in the portal or am I'm blind?
College Gym News only posts confirmed athletes in the portal.. as in, they have announced it themselves, or it has been reported by a reputable source. Jordyn Lyden may very well be in the portal, but she hasn't confirmed it.
I found it on Reddit by the way. So don't know how reliable it is.
..and just like that, there it is! Lyden has announced she's in the portal. I'm guessing she is eyeing Oklahoma.

+!000. During her times she competed, she was the one that always gave the motivation talk to the individual who was performing next. She kept it up even while she was an assistant coach too. Will miss her smiles!
