Lots of Reagan Democrats migrated to Independent or GOP during Reagan's terms. Who Hillary Clinton's team purposefully labeled, and she read, as "basket of deplorables".

The One (Obama) made similiar dismissive comments in 2008 that people in small towns are "bitter" and "cling to guns or religion".
