The same Democratic Party that founded the KKK funneled money to them during the Biden era?

This is very......expected!

The FBI paid George Dorsett a top tier informant and looked the other way as he rallied Klan members.

"Between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled more than $3 million in donated funds to individuals who were associated with various violent extremist groups including:

Ku Klux Klan
United Klans of America
Unite the Right
National Alliance
National Socialist Movement
Aryan Nations affiliated Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club
National Socialist Party of America (American Nazi Party)
American Front

"According to the indictment, the objective of the scheme and artifice was to obtain money via donations through materially false representations and omissions about what the donated funds would be used for.

"In order to covertly pay the individuals, the SPLC opened bank accounts connected to a series of fictitious entities. The covert nature of the accounts allowed the SPLC to disguise the true nature, source, ownership, and control of the fraudulently obtained donated money the SPLC paid the individuals. In order to keep the scheme going, the SPLC made a series of false statements related to the operation of the accounts.

"A conviction will result in the forfeiture of financial gains from the alleged illegal activities."

This is gonna run dozens of different directions. This is after ActBlue and USAID - all a big grift.

Okay, doesn't all this just mean the SPLC was paying people to infiltrate groups they thought might be white supremacist groups and report back on their activities? The dollar amounts quoted are added up over a period of like 7 years, so no one was exactly being paid a fortune here.

Unless there's evidence that these people actually created the Charlottesville rally where there would otherwise have been none (as opposed to just being active in group chats), what is the issue here?

To most Americans, $270,000 for an infrequent side gig, posting a few racial slurs online and organizing a few rallies - is a small fortune.

Planning the event is not the same as just being active in group chats

So far all I've seen is that they were "members" of a chat group that was planning the event. Not that they planned it all by themselves. That still lines up with the idea that they were infiltrating and posing as "true believer" type members.

Klan, AntiFa, etc are fringe groups of no danger to the state. Their sole purpose are as propaganda tools suggesting that they are the agents of the opposing political party. In truth the biggest danger to democracy are the Republicans and Democrats

Yes, they were part of the leadership group who planned the event. That's bad enough. That's not just being an informant, that's actively planning the event. They also scheduled transportation. It'll be interesting to see how involved they were. It'll be even more interesting to find out who exactly it was. Probably Nick Fuentes lol

Dunno, but it seems like they were trying to hide their own involvement for obvious reasons (they have people effectively "undercover" in the organization).

I think you can argue that there are ethical issues with this kind of infiltration and that the undercover folks may wind up doing things they don't actually support. That's different from saying it's illegal and constitutes any kind of fraud. So far I don't actually see that here.
