I've never cared about personal attacks. Over the years I've been called everything in the book on these boards and I never cared or complained. Let the reader decide. Nobody's mind has ever changed on this board. I want to be able to call a fascist a fascist and a racist a racist. My complaints now are about the biased moderation currently on this board from a long time poster who has a very one-sided political lean.

I've been called names too and it never bothered me much. However, some people have become very thin skinned and see personal attacks everywhere. If the moderators are going to hand out discipline for unpleasant words (sounds like political correctness to me, but whatever), they should at least apply it equally to everyone.

Okay, if you've been following this "experiment", let's see what we have for results and conclusions.

Poster BearlySane88 made a post that got, at the time, 8 stars. A different valued poster implied that some of those stars might have come from 88 or someone else who used multiple accounts to star.

So I, in an effort to try and get to the bottom of this, posted the exact same thing, just to see what would happen. I got 10 stars. In the meantime, 88's post has risen to 11 stars. (Scroll up to see the two posts.)

So, the same words, from two different posters, each got approximately the same number of stars. This could possibly mean that those words were "star worthy", no matter who posts them.

Of course, it could also mean that there is a person with multiple accounts and he/she starred my posts as well, to obfuscate.

And indeed, there is a third possibility: I'm just doing silly-ass stuff here to take my mind off of the fact that the Cal Basketball team has pretty much played themselves out of March Madness the past seven days.
