First video doesn't look like middle class Iran to me. Second video there are, by my estimation, over 70% of the women wearing head coverings.

First video didn't have many foreigners, so your excuse of avoiding diplomatic incidents for lax enforcement of hijab laws was bogus.

The second, longer video shows many women without hijab, roughly half the younger women. Which means that your video with an Iranian expat claiming that women who don't cover their heads risk punishment was bogus, certainly doesn't jibe with 30% of women not following that rule.

Bad faith like always.

I provided an explanation of the neighborhood that you posted a video from. You don't like the explanation, take that up with Google. You're always so jumpy to be defensive when sometimes things really aren't that serious

No one does bad faith as much as you do, and this is a great example.

You can't claim, as the expat you posted on this thread, that there are grave consequences for women who don't wear a head cover in Iran, when by your own claim a very large number of women in those public places don't, period.

Your first excuse was that they didn't enforce these regulations in an upscale neighborhood because of foreigners there. I've provided you with 2 videos showing uncovered Iranian women in areas without foreigners, and all you have to say is your usual lame copout projection.

See, so worked up you're not even reading what I'm typing. I claimed nothing and therefore no excuses. Once again, I provided a summary from Google on the neighborhood you posted about. Please take all further grievances to them.

Maybe I should be doing more of this, you're proving over and over again that you are not a serious interlocutor.

And your expat Iranian sources are out of touch with reality. Tehran yesterday:

I was making a joke but maybe you really are so worked up you can no longer read. For the last time, IT WAS FROM GOOGLE. Not some special source. I typed in "what's this neighborhood like?" And Google spat out that info. I'm moving on because you're getting way too invested in an argument without even reading my responses.

You're not facing up to the fact that you claimed women in Iran have to cover up their head or they would get arrested. Not that I expect you to.

I'd start really worrying if she tweets about ginger giants from outer space.

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't want to create a separate thread just for the ginger giants so I lumped it in with the aliens thread. But just to clarify, the ginger giants are part descendants of the Nephilim or fallen angels, so not exactly outer space.

Wow, all this whining about Obama releasing $1.7 billion of Iranian frozen assets, Israel gets that every couple of weeks.

Iran is going to get a lot more than that through the Hormuz toll booth, thanks to Trump. They will erect a statue for him bigger than the one supposedly going up in Venezuela.

This is going to give the US huge leverage..because what Iran did was mine territory that wasn't theirs in order to force ships to travel into Iranian waters and closer to its coast which is how they think they can get away with adding tolls, the problem is Iran can't remove the mines and if the US has to go in, then we might as well take Kharg Island....and China DOES NOT want that to happen lmao. Weird how NATO countries are starting to find their balls now....

How many mines does it take to shut down the straight of Hormuz? A question posed by a former Navy Sub Offficer and Cal grad. He was part of a mine safety team during the Iraq war.
FYI he "was a mine planning officer for a short period and went to mine warfare school for fun in between deployments"

My neighbor, an immigrant, served in the US Navy on a minesweeper clearing mines in the Straight of Hormuz leftover from the Iran-Iraq War during the Reagan Administration. Always a Republican from his support of Reagan, but no more.

The Navy uses systems like the A/AES1 Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) (mounted on MH-60S Seahawks) for imaging and robotic systems to detonate mines at a safe distance.

So yes.
The mines are identified from the air.
